Autocross

I began autocrossing in 1994 with Autocrossers, Limited (ALTD), and back when the "Metropolitan Washington Council of Sports Car Clubs" existed, I ran every local event I could until about 2004 in my red 1990 Honda Accord EX Coupe. I loved that thing.

Then I bought a 2003 Audi A4 1.8T. That car wasn't so good for autocross, and that, plus other factors, caused a considerable hiatus that lasted until 2014.

Now I drive a 2014 Ford Fiesta ST in SCCA Street Class.

In September 2014, I took the car to SCCA Solo Nationals in Lincoln, Nebraska. I came in 22nd out of 27 cars in G-Street class, most of which were Focus ST's. There was one other Fiesta there, prepared almost exactly like mine, which came in 24th. We Fiestas were moved into H-Street class for 2015.

A few weeks before Nationals I came up with the following concept for my "Dogpark Racing" livery... it's photoshopped here:

And this is how it came out! I was really happy with it. My car was quite the head-turner... from DC to Nebraska and back!

I met a lot of awesome people, and thoroughly enjoyed my rookie year at Nationals!

Thanks also to Radial Tire Co. in Silver Spring... Paul took care of my tire needs for the event. Mention you're an SCCA member and he'll take care of you, too!
